After an extended weekend filled with family, friends and much needed relaxation time, it’s back to reality. Yes, it’s easy to drag our feet into work and longingly daydream of lounging near the beach, watching sparkling fireworks or eating as much grilled meat and cupcakes as your stomach can handle. However, there’s work to be done! But with a little extra push and some words from one of the greatest bosses of all time, the ‘Wednesday Scaries’ will be a little less painful:
“Sometimes I start a sentence and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way.” – Michael Scott
“I understand nothing.” – Michael Scott
“Only thing that could make this day better is ice cream.” – Michael Scott
“Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy. Both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.” – Michael Scott
“Sometimes you have to take a break from being the kind of boss that’s always trying to teach people things. Sometimes you just have to be the boss of dancing.” – Michael Scott
Although some of the thoughts from television’s best worst boss may be relatable at times (I definitely could use some ice cream right now), here are some actual encouraging words of wisdom:
“Big shots are little shots who kept shooting.” – Christopher Morley
“Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same.” – Carlos Castaneda
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself, any direction you choose.” – Dr. Seuss
“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.” – Dennis Waitley
“Successful and unsuccessful people do not vary greatly in their abilities. They vary in their desires to reach their potential.” – John Maxwell
Hopefully reflecting on these words of wisdom will help in realigning yourself to ensure top-notch motivation and focus for a productive week ahead. After all, it’s only four short days! Have a favorite quote to help boost motivation? Feel free to share below:
