(Milwaukee, Wisconsin) October 29, 2021 – Medix, a national organization specialized in workforce solutions and recruiting skilled personnel for clients in the Healthcare, Life Sciences, Engineering & Construction, and Technology industries sponsored the 11th annual Grand Slam Charity Jam benefiting Camp Hometown Heroes and Camp Reunite. 

“We are proud to be a lead sponsor again at this year’s Grand Slam Charity Jam,” said Andrew Limouris, Medix President and CEO. “Through sponsorships, ticket sales, and multiple auctions, we were able to raise more than $250,000 for the children of Camp Hometown Heroes and Camp Reunite.” 

The 2021 Grand Slam Charity Jam was held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Italian Community Center in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The evening’s headliner was comedian Howie Mandel, and featured a cocktail party, auctions, dinner and live music. The Grand Slam Charity Jam raised funds for children to attend Camp Hometown Heroes and Camp Reunite, both located at Turning Rivers camp site. 

“The children who attend both Camp Hometown Heroes and Camp Reunite have already experienced greater hardship than many of us can imagine,” said Limouris. “Camp Hometown Heroes and Camp Reunite are positively impacting the lives of children across the country, and we could not be prouder to be part of their mission of healing and hope.” 

In addition to Medix’s sponsorship, Grand Slam Charity Jam was presented by Kapco Metal Stamping and other organizations, including Aurora Health Care, Catalyst Construction, the Milwaukee Admirals, Direct Supply, BMO Harris Bank, MKE Lifestyle, Kohler, PS Seasoning, and the Malek family.

Camp Hometown Heroes is a free, week-long camp for children of military members who died while in service to their country. During their time at camp, children learn how to heal and deal with loss, and have the chance to meet other children in similar situations, all while experiencing the fun of summer camp.
