Cory Remsburg’s new home

Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors (JAH4WW) is the philanthropy Medix has proudly supported the longest, because the organization uniquely aligns with both our core purpose of positively impacting lives and our core values. We are amazed at their accomplishments and humbled by the opportunities they have given us in return. Last year, we were honored to present the keys to SSGT Ken Champlain for his newly remodeled, handicap-accessible home in Scottsdale, Ariz. This past Friday, teammates from our Scottsdale team had the opportunity to attend another Home Key Ceremony for Army Sgt. 1st Class Cory Remsburg.
During President Obama’s 2014 State of the Union, America was introduced to Cory Remsburg, a United States veteran who was severely injured in 2009 in a roadside bomb blast. The whole country was moved by his Never, Never, Never Give Up attitude and journey toward recovery.
JAH4WW, in collaboration with Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund, purchased a home Cory chose and designed it to include everything he will need throughout his recovery – 100 percent free and clear of any mortgages! On Friday, March 13, Jared Allen presented the keys to Cory, and President Obama made a surprise appearance to congratulate Cory on his new home. President Obama could have just mailed a letter or sent his regards via email, but instead, he flew across the country to positively impact a life.

You may think that positively impacting lives is a grand gesture that touches hundreds of people at once, but it does not have to be. Impacting one life at a time can be just as powerful. As an organization placing talent in the right opportunity, we positively impact lives one at a time. Jared Allen and his team are building and remodeling homes for our wounded veterans and are positively impacting one life at a time. By attending the event on Friday, President Obama positively impacted one life at a time. Focusing on one life at a time is attainable for all and can have a tremendous ripple effect, inspiring others to pick up the mantle. Let this example from Friday be your motivation to go that extra mile for someone this week.
I am incredibly grateful to not only have our team be apart of this ceremony, but for heroes like Cory who are willing to sacrifice everything for our safety and well-being.
God bless Cory and all of America’s heroes.
